This full-year course is split into two areas of study. Students spend one semester studying the structure and procedures of federal, state and local government and the fundamental themes of government such as federalism, separation of powers, majority and minority rights. The other semester introduces students to the concepts of microeconomics and macroeconomics.
LCHS students generally take this course in 12th grade. Students should check with their school counselor for appropriate course selection.
